How much of your "trash" is Recyclable? How can you save with recycling?
This is a basic Waste Assessment. The large bag with the water sticker is a bag of recyclables extracted from the two bags off trash on the right without stickers. Instead of trash needing to be collected every week, it went down to twice a month and they got a smaller waste container.
This is a weighted trash assessment, data is more accurate this way. At this particular location their trash to recyclable ratio is about 50/50, they actually have more recyclables than they have trash. Their trash only needs to be collected once per month now. Big savings and they're helping reduce carbon emissions, less trips, less emissions from dump trucks.
